Florence

Florence, artistic city for excellence, is the native land of illustrious personages like Dante, Machiavelli, Boccaccio and Galileo Galilei. Moreover it is rendered still more precious from the works of Michelangelo, Donatello, Brunelleschi, Botticelli, and Giotto.

The center of Florence is the Public square of the Dome, where we can admire the Bell tower, the Baptistry and the Museum of the Work of the Dome. The Bell tower, planned from Giotto, is divided in 5 floors. At the last floor there is the a beutiful terrace from which it is possible to admire Florence.

The Baptistry is an art work that laughed them to the times of the Roman; it has an octagonal structure, it is externaly covered and decorated of marble, inside are present beautiful and characteristic mosaics.

The Dome of Florence is raised in all the its splendor just in the heart of the city, in Public square of the Dome, near the river Arno. Externally it is decorated by red, green and white marble. Inside it is characterized from the pavement in marble and on the walls are present paintings of rare beauty.

Continuing to south of Public square Dome it is arrived in Signoria Squere with Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, one of the main Italian galleries of art.

Signoria Square is rich of statues and monuments, like the David of Michelangelo. Around Palazzo Vecchio we can find the churches of Saint Maria Novel, Saint Lorenzo and Santa Trinità, and at the extremity of the city, the Basilica of Santa Craoce.

Ponte Vecchio it is the only bridge remained intact from the strafings of the second world war and is one of the symbols of Florence with its shops.

Near rises Pitti Palace, inside of it is possible to admire the beautll Garden of Boboli. Famous are also the archaeological Museum, the Bargello's Museum, the museum of the Academy of the Arts.
